Taking a break sadly...

I'm taking a break from blogging due to school work. I will start blogging again in about a week or two once my grades are up :). There still might be occasional updates from school! If you are participating in Nanowrimo, good luck and I wish you the best!

Blogging Calendar... Time to get organized!

Ok, so its about time to get organized :0. I've added a calendar page to my blog or you can view it here! You can see what's posted daily. There will be a minimum of 2 posts each day.

Percussion!

Percussion

Hello fellow avid blog readers! Hows your day going? Please post in the comments and I will be sure to answer all the comments. So today's topic is Percussion. You may be wondering what is percussion? Percussion is a section of band with musical instruments played by striking with the hand or with a handheld or pedal-operated stick or beater, or by shaking, including drums, cymbals, xylophones, gongs, bells, and rattles.

Nanowrimo Preptober #4 Update

So, I think the first chapter of my work in progress is done! Now, I would love if you would critique it in the comments. So, without farther ado, here is the chapter.

Chapter 1 (First Draft - 403 Words):

Let's just say... I'm NOT in a good mood. Today is the stupid graduation ceremony and since I'm one of the top graduating students in my class I bet I'll get to be The Highest Apprentice. As I walk into The Quarry Graduation Hall, I am frightened by the fact that I might be The Highest Apprentice in less than 5 minutes. I wish I could just go back to the cold hole in the wall tavern that I live in. I mean, I could really do with a peanut butter and cricket sandwich right now, NOT kidding. I'm a hungry, hungry, hippo.

"Welcome all to the graduation ceremony here at Quarry School. I will begin by calling students up to the front to receive their job titles. When I call your name please come forward" said Beata, The High Official of Education. At the time of this, Tina is still living on food scraps; she got a free education and because she is so smart she graduates at 13 years old; instead of the usual 15. I think to myself "If I get picked I'm going to kill Beata". I am feeling very angry because I know that The Quarry is an evil place that I am forced to live in but if I don't want to die or be exiled than I must stay here. People wonder why I hate The Quarry so much. It's because The Highest Officials and The Highest Official have killed many people over the years. Not many people know that.

"Domi, Quarry Miner"
"Adam, Quarry Miner"
"Albin, Quarry Miner"
"Danka, Quarry Miner"
"Dosia, Street Sweeper"
"Emilia, Street Sweeper"
"Cyril, Food Production"
"Edmund, Food Production"
"Tina, The Highest Apprentice"

Kids and parents applaud the students who were selected. They are especially proud of me... why ME? I walk up onto the stage to receive my job instructions from Beata. "I never in a million years would have dreamed that I would get this job! It's such... such an honor to be The Highest Apprentice" I said sarcastically. "Lucky me." I mumbled as I walked off the stage and out of The Quarry Graduation Hall. Wow, Dosia is really dumb if he got Street Sweeper as his job. Maybe I should have chose a better person for being in The Quarry Rebellion. Also, I wonder what powers I will get over other people for being The Highest Apprentice.

OMG... aren't these images so cute :)

My Personality Test Results

Hi, I just took the 16personalities test over at 16personalities.com. I am a INFJ-T Architect. My strategy is constant improvement.  Here is an article I found over at that site.

ARCHITECT PERSONALITY (INTJ, -A/-T)
It’s lonely at the top, and being one of the rarest and most strategically capable personality types, Architects know this all too well. Architects form just two percent of the population, and women of this personality type are especially rare, forming just 0.8% of the population – it is often a challenge for them to find like-minded individuals who are able to keep up with their relentless intellectualism and chess-like maneuvering. People with the Architect personality type are imaginative yet decisive, ambitious yet private, amazingly curious, but they do not squander their energy.

Nanowrimo Preptober #2 Update

So, today was pretty ok-ish. I mean, Gray Cox created this beautiful blog for me and Jes, my Writing Buddy, gave me some pretty sweet tips on writing but I didn't get to write much, only like 125 words. Well, hopefully tomorrow will be better. I'm going to brainstorm and create characters life stories tonight. Have a great night everyone!

Creative Writing/Reading Journal Post #1

Hello fellow blog readers! I'm going to have a journal on this blog called The CWRJ where I talk about books I've read and wrote. You will be able to have discussions about said books in the comment section of each post. The first one I will be doing is over the Harry Potter series.

Harry Potter Series:
I have to say, I am a big fan of Harry Potter. I started reading the series when I was in 3rd grade and I've read the whole series through 3 times not including Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them Screenplay and Harry Potter and The Cursed Child Script. I also had the opportunity to go to Universal Studios about 2 years ago and it was great. Butterbeer v.s. Pumpkin Juice -- Which is your favorite? What is your favorite Original Series Harry Potter Book? Feel free to discuss in the comments!

My votes:
Pumpkin Juice
Order Of The Phoenix

Magyk (Septimus Heap #1) Review

Review for Magyk
This is a great book for fans of Harry Potter! It is very much fantasy. It's meant for children but some young adults might like it also. I rate it 10/10. There is no swearing so #rebelliouswriting
